Bhubaneswar, May 13: A bike rider was critically injured after being hit from behind by a city bus between Jaydev Vihar and Acharya Vihar in Bhubaneswar. The injured rider has been identified as Rashmiranjan Panda from Bhadrak, and was rescued in a serious condition.

Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the bus struck the motorcycle from behind, causing significant panic and agitation among the onlookers. Frustrated locals broke the bus’s windshield in the aftermath of the accident.

The Sahid Nagar police quickly reached the spot, took control of the situation, and have seized the bus involved in the accident. The injured biker has been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, and further investigation into the incident is underway.
