Angul, Dec 24: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday inaugurated multiple infrastructure and academic facilities at the PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya(JNV), Angul at Champatimunda.
Pradhan inaugurated the newly constructed multi-purpose auditorium and Swami Vivekananda Park on the school campus and unveiled a statue of Swami Vivekananda in the premises.
He also toured the Vivekananda Park and interacted with students on the scientific learning tools installed there. The minister visited the Atal Tinkering Lab, where he reviewed student innovations and discussed their projects. Meanwhile, Pradhan visited the science exhibition and analysed various models of the miniature scientists.
Gracing the occasion, Pradhan said JNVs play a critical role in transforming rural talents into national assets.
Stressing the importance of innovation-driven learning, Pradhan said Atal Tinkering Labs must be further developed to connect students with scientific attitudes and innovative thoughts and 21st-century skills. Meanwhile, Pradhan underscored the essence of the NPE 2020 in bringing allround development of children.
Among others, Dhenkanal MP Rudra Narayan Pani and Angul MLA Pratap Chandra Pradhan attended the occasion.
