Islamabad, Nov 11: A day after a powerful explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station killed at least 13 people, a blast outside a local court in Pakistan’s Islamabad on Tuesday afternoon claimed at least 12 lives and injured many others.

The cause of the explosion has not been immediately determined.

The explosion also damaged several vehicles parked outside the court. Most of the injured were individuals who had come for hearings, as the court premises are typically crowded with visitors.

Local media suggested that a gas cylinder inside the vehicle may have caused the explosion, though police declined to comment.

Witnesses described a loud bang followed by chaos.
