Bhubaneswar, Oct 11: Body of a youth was found near Baramunda bridge today morning while the city was gearing up to celebrate the Durga Puja Ashtami rituals.

Locals spotted a body lying near the Baramunda bridge and informed police. Police recovered the body and sent for post-mortem.

The deceased has been identified as Manoj Kumar Gouda, a resident of Tapoban slum.

Police suspect it to be a murder case following wounds on the body.

We have sent the body for autopsy. Investigations are on and the cause of the death would be established after getting the post-mortem report, said Bharatpur police.

Police are examining CCTV footage in the area and questioning local residents to find out any clue.
