Bhubaneswar, Feb 8: Bharatpur police arrested a tutor on Wednesday for allegedly sexually harassing a minor girl student.
The arrested has been identified as Sushil Kumar Panda of Patkura area of Kendrapara district.
According to police, a family from West Bengal is staying in Bharatpur area for the last three years. Their minor daughter is pursuing her schooling here at an eminent institution. They were interested to teach her Odia language following which they had appointed Panda as tutor.
Panda was coming to their house for the last few days to teach her Odia. The tutor misbehaved with the minor girl on January 25 closing the door from inside. Further, he insisted the victim to watch adult videos on January 27. The minor girl narrated the ordeal before her mother after two days following which she contacted Panda over phone, however, he did not answer the call.
Later, the minor's parents lodged a complaint at Bharatpur police station. Police arrested the accused last night following probe.
