Bhubaneswar, May 4: A tragic road accident occurred near the State Bank at Palasuni Chowk, Bhubaneswar, leaving a woman dead and the local community in shock.

According to police reports, the accident happened early this morning when a Bullet bike carrying a husband and wife was rear-ended by a truck. The impact caused the woman, identified as Namita Raul, to fall under the truck’s wheels, resulting in her sudden death.

The husband, Hemant Raul, survived the collision. Local residents raised the alarm, and the Mancheswar police reached the spot promptly, securing the scene and clearing traffic within 20 minutes. Both the truck driver and the Bullet rider were taken into custody for questioning as the police launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.

Authorities are examining multiple aspects of the case, including whether the truck driver was at fault or if loss of balance by the bike rider contributed to the accident. The investigation is underway.
