Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar FC will face Bargarh FC in the CM Trophy U-15 Inter-districts football Tournament at the Birsa Munda Athletic Stadium, Rourkela. The date will be finalised soon.
In the semi-finals Bhubaneswar FC thrashed Nabarangpur FC by 16-0 at the Capital Football Arena here and Bargarh FC edged out Jajpur FC by 2-1 goals at the OSAP Mini Stadium, Jharsuguda.
Asis Kumar of Bhubaneswar FC and Siba Munda of Bargarh FC named as the player of the match in their respective semifinals.
At the Bhubaneswar venue Prithviraj Harichandan, Minister of Law, Works and Excise graced the accession as chief guest. Among others, Tankadhar Tripathy, MLA and President, Football Association of Odisha (FAO), Himansu Lal, Guest of Honour, Inspector General, Northern Range, Aboli Sunil Naravane, Collector, Jharsuguda, Smith P. Parmar, Superintendent of Police, Jharsuguda, Avijit Paul – Secretary, Odisha Olympic Association and Joint Secretary, FAO, Dulal Chandra Pradhan – Vice President, Odisha Olympic Association, Rabi Narayan Panda – Vice President, FAO, Prabhat Kumar Bhol – Joint Secretary, Odisha Cricket Association and Tapas Ray Choudhury – Secretary, Jharsuguda DAA were present.
