Bhubaneswar, April 22: Despite cloudy weather, Bhubaneswar experienced scorching heat on Monday, with the maximum temperature nearing the 44-degree mark. According to the IMD, the capital city reached a sweltering 43.8 degrees Celsius by 2:30 pm, recording the highest maximum temperature of the day.
Compared to other places in Odisha, Bhubaneswar was notably hotter during this period. Alongside Bhubaneswar, two other locations in the state also recorded temperatures above 40 degrees: Balasore at 40.7 degrees and Chandbali at 40.4 degrees.
