Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s para-athletes delivered a spectacular performance by winning six medals including three gold and three silver medals in the 2025 World AbilitySport Games at Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand on 20–21 November 2025,

Odisha’s Gobind Durby won double gold medals. In the Men’s 200m T46/47 final, Dubey clocked 23.44 sec to win the gold medal in the T47 category. Gobind continued his stellar form in the Men’s Long Jump T46/47, securing another Gold with a leap of 6.18m, narrowly ahead of compatriot Kaki Mohammed, who took Silver with 6.16m.

Odisha javelin thrower Ranjit Chanda won a gold medal for the country in the Men’s Javelin F46 event by throwing 53.52m.

Prafulla Kumar Khandayatray, Suchitra Parida and Ranjana Nahak grabbed a silver medal each in the men’s javelin F 55, women’s Shot Put F 55/56 and Women’s Shot Put F54 categories with a distance of 21.04m, 5.94m and 5.11m respectively.

With outstanding results across multiple events, Odisha’s para-athletes have once again proven their excellence on the global stage. Their achievements bring immense pride to Odisha and significantly contribute to India’s strong showing at the 2025 World AbilitySport Games.
