Bhubaneswar, Sep 17: The Centre has accepted the resignation of Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Jagmohan Meena, officials said on Thursday.

Meena, 2013-batch IPS officer, had submitted his resignation citing personal reasons. The Odisha Home Department examined his request and later forwarded it, along with the necessary documents, to the Union Home Ministry for approval.

Following the Centre’s acceptance of his resignation, Meena’s departure from the Indian Police Service has been formally completed.

During his over-decade-long career in Odisha, Meena served as superintendent of police in several districts, including Cuttack, Ganjam and Malkangiri.
