Berhampur, Nov 9: At least two persons including an elderly man were killed in a tragic road mishap which took place in Khajapalli village of Odisha’s Ganjam district this morning,

The deceased have been identified as Kashinath Sethi (60) of Shalabon village, and Mitu Parida of Ranipada village.

According to reports, the accident occurred during Kashinath’s morning walk, when Mitu, who was riding a motorcycle, lost control of the vehicle and collided with him.

Both victims were immediately taken to nearby hospitals. However, they tragically succumbed to their injuries. Kashinath was declared dead at Kodala Medical College, while Mitu was pronounced dead at Polsara Medical College.

Police have seized the bodies and sent them for post-mortem.

The incident cast a pall of gloom over the area, as family members and friends mourned the untimely loss of the two lives.
