Mumbai, Jan 7: The blockbuster film Dhurandhar, which emerged as one of the biggest hits of 2025, has also been known for having some of the most expensive movie tickets of the year. However, after several weeks of housefull shows, the makers have now decided to reduce ticket prices as the initial craze around the film begins to taper off. The price cut, however, is being offered for a limited time only.

The film’s production house, Jio Studios, announced on Tuesday via social media that tickets for Dhurandhar will be available at a flat price of ₹199 for the entire day. Moviegoers booking tickets on the announced date can watch the film at the reduced rate. In a post on X, Jio Studios urged audiences not to miss the “explosive offer,” clarifying that the ₹199 ticket price is valid only for the day.

The makers have also specified that the discounted pricing will apply only at selected multiplexes and cinema halls. Notably, tickets for Dhurandhar were earlier priced as high as ₹2,500, while the average ticket cost ranged between ₹250 and ₹300.

With discounts of ₹50 to ₹100, the move is seen as an effort to attract audiences who had stayed away from theatres due to the high ticket prices, and to sustain footfalls in cinemas as the film continues its theatrical run.
