Bhadrak, Aug 9: The Education department on Wednesday suspended a school teacher of Bhadrak for allegedly submitting a fake BEd certificate to secure the job.

The teacher has been identified as Rebati Jena. According to the report, Rebati was working at Karanjiadia Government High School under Basudevpur block of the district. She was appointed as a Sikhya Sahayak in 2005 and her job was regularized in 2022.

"After several complaints lodged regarding the fake BEd certificate, her certificates were verified and the truth came to fore. She has been immediately suspended and a FIR has been lodged against her", said Basudevpur Block Education Officer (BEO) Jagabandhu Sahu.
