Ganjam, Sept 1: Odisha Vigilance on Sunday arrested Chhatrapur Block Education Officer (BEO) Sitaram Patro in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case, registered against him.
Earlier the vigilance sleuths had unearthed illegal assets including three multi-storeyed buildings, deposits over Rs. 35.61 lakh, Rs. 6.50 lakhs cash, and 1 four-wheeler from Patro’s possession which he could not justify as his earned properties.
The ill-gotten assets have been seized. A case has been registred with the Berhampur Vigilance in this connection, said one of the sleuths.
The accused will be forwarded to court after interrogation and other formal compliances, the Vigilance official added.
