Bhubaneswar, Dec 20: Actor Bhagyashree has spoken out about the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly its impact on celebrity culture and social media. She highlighted how both celebrities and ordinary people are vulnerable to AI manipulation, with AI technology enabling the creation of misleading content through altered lip-syncing and other modulations.

Bhagyashree acknowledged the positive use of AI in marketing and innovation but expressed concern over the potential harm it causes. “It’s difficult to differentiate between right and wrong,” she said, reflecting on how AI-generated content can deceive viewers, especially those unaware of the technology's capabilities.

The actress raised awareness about the challenges of detecting AI-manipulated content, even within the entertainment industry, where professionals like herself struggle to discern authentic material from altered versions.

Similarly, actress Sreeleela also addressed the issue, urging social media users to refrain from supporting AI-generated content that violates personal dignity. In a post on Instagram, she called for responsible use of technology, stating, “Advancements in technology should simplify life, not complicate it.”

Several other celebrities, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Karan Johar, have sought legal protection to safeguard their rights against AI misuse, signaling a broader concern in the entertainment industry.
