Bhubaneswar, October 31:The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) has extended the deadline for submitting online applications for its Ekamra Residency housing project at Subudhipur by one month, allowing prospective homebuyers to apply until November 30. The earlier deadline was October 31.
Spread over approximately 7.34 acres, the housing project offers a total of 496 apartments across two blocks. These include 288 two-bedroom apartments with a study room (2BHK-plus-study) and 208 two-bedroom (2BHK) flats.
The apartments will be allotted through a lottery system to ensure a transparent selection process among eligible applicants.
To encourage prospective buyers, BDA has clarified that the Rs 10,000 application fee will be adjusted against the final cost of the apartment. Applicants who fail to secure an allotment will receive a full refund of their Rs 2.1 lakh deposit.
Successful applicants will also receive a full exemption from Goods and Services Tax (GST) and a 5 per cent exemption on stamp duty. The ready-to-move-in apartments will be allotted on a freehold basis and will include one year of complimentary maintenance.
Ekamra Residency has been designed with earthquake-resistant reinforced cement concrete (RCC) structures and a range of modern facilities. The amenities include a swimming pool, gymnasium, sewage treatment plant, water recharge system and round-the-clock CCTV surveillance.
To apply for the housing scheme, applicants must first register and obtain a Unique Account Number (UAN), which is mandatory for transactions through BDA's Property Allotment System. During the registration process, applicants must submit valid documents as proof of their date of birth and residential address.
With the extension of the application deadline, interested homebuyers now have an additional month to complete the registration process and submit their applications for the housing scheme.
