Mumbai, Sep 5: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will hold the 93rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Bengaluru on September 29. The AGM will coincide with the inauguration of the High Performance Centre (HPC) in Bengaluru.
The BCCI on Thursday sent notices for the AGM to the state associations. However, there is no mention of the election for the next BCCI Secretary in the AGM agenda, sources said.
As the current BCCI Secretary Jay Shah is set to assume the office of the independent chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) on December 1, so the AGM was expected to finalise his successor in the next AGM.
The agenda, which has two pages and 18 points, includes regular items. It also focuses on election and induction of two representatives of the general body in the governing council of the IPL, induction of one representative from the Indian Cricketers' Association in the IPL Governing Council, adoption of the annual budget, appointment of Ombudsman and Ethics Officer.
The AGM agenda for the September 29 meeting also has to appoint a Cricket Committee and Standing Committee as mentioned in the Constitution. The AGM is also due to appoint an Umpires Committee, sources said.
