New Delhi, December 6: IndiGo, the leading domestic carrier, cancelled over 800 flights on Saturday, marking the fifth consecutive day of disruption. In response, the government has imposed a cap on airfares and ordered the airline to process all ticket refunds by Sunday evening.

According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, IndiGo's on-time performance from six major metro airports dropped drastically to just 3.7% on Friday.

The government has warned that regulatory action will be taken against the airline if it fails to comply with the refund and airfare restrictions.
