Bhubaneswar, Sep 4: The Enforcement Directorate has attached properties to the tune of Rs 19.67 crore of GDS Builders Pvt. Ltd under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in connection with a bank fraud case.
“ED has provisionally attached movable/ immovable properties to the tune of Rs. 19,67,23,027/- under PMLA,2002 in the case of M/s GDS Builders Pvt. Ltd., its director Uma Sankar Patro and others,” ED posted on X.
The attached properties include movable assets in the form of bank balances and mutual fund balances worth Rs 9,49,657/- and 57 immovable assets to the tune of Rs. 19,57,73,370/- spread over Puri and Bhubaneswar.
In May this year, ED had carried out search operations at eight residential and commercial premises in Bhubaneswar in connection with a bank fraud case pertaining to GDS Builders Pvt. Ltd., Surnag Builders Pvt. Ltd., and others.
