Balasore, Jul 8: A Bangladeshi national, identified as Mohammad Babu Khan, is set to be deported to Bangladesh on Wednesday after completing a 14-year prison sentence in the Balasore District Jail.

According to official sources, Babu Khan had allegedly entered India illegally before reaching Balasore, where he became involved in several criminal activities. Following his conviction, he served a 14-year sentence in the district jail.

Police records show that Khan was facing nine criminal cases registered at various police stations in Balasore district, including Balasore Town, Basta, Sadar, Industrial Area, and Remuna police stations.

After completing his jail term, the authorities have initiated the deportation process, and he will be handed over to the Bangladesh authorities in accordance with legal procedures.

Officials said all necessary formalities have been completed to facilitate his repatriation. Further details regarding the deportation are awaited.
