Bengaluru horror: Mahalaxmi’s body chopped off, kingpin Muktiranjan’s diary unveils whole episode of rosy love story and dreadful climax!

Bengaluru, Sept 27: At a time when the brutal killing of Mahalaxmi, a 29-year Nepal aboriginal, chopping her body into at least 60 pieces, has raised the eyebrows of denizens in the IT City Bengaluru, a shockwave spread in the Bhadrak district and even across Odisha with the kingpin Muktiranjan's fierce end at his village graveyard, after the bizarre. 

Everyone who is aware of the horror-scene, is now in search of a question, how the rose-pink dreams of the young woman and the lad despite a mutual attraction and deep love, that was the linchpin to hold, fasten the two souls to be one and unique, one from the northern Odisha and the sweet-heart girl from Nepal, ended with a tragic note for the love birds. 

When and where the two young guys did meet each other? What made them so closer to fall in love and later into a livein relationship despite hell and heaven differences between them regarding cast, creed and nationality? What’s was the social barrier that stood on their way, to register, to marry and to lead a merry married life being life-partners?  A slew of such pertinent questions on the horrific murder are yet to be wrapped off by the investigating agencies. However, a diary recovered from the residence of Muktiranjan in the Bangaluru City from the possession of his younger brother, shed light on the terrific murder scene that took place on September 3 at the Vyalikaval residential area.

On being informed by Mahalaxmi’s family members (mother and brother), the Bengaluru Police seized the body remnants almost eaten up by maggots , sent them to Forensic Laboratory for examination and initiated an investigation into the case.

As a part of primary investigation, the CCTV footages were verified, which revealed that two young miscreants laden on a scooter were found entering and exiting Mahalaxmi’s rented house at the Vyalikaval area late at night on Saturday. Based on it, the police technically tracked the mobile networks and zeroed at three suspects, the first one was  Mahalaxmi’s husband who had legally married her a couple of years ago. The second was a tailor master & a boutique designer who used to visit Mahalaxmi’s home and the other is Muktiranjan Pratap Ray, the supervisor of a garment shop wherein Mahalaxmi was working as a salesgirl. Ruling out the former three suspects’ connivance in the brutal killing, the sleuths stopped at Muktiranjan who was identified from the CCTV footage, frequenting Mahalaxmi’s room most often.

Based on it, the police ran after Muktiranjan and tracked him to be roaming somewhere in West Bengal from his mobile location.Thus, a team of the Karnataka police left for Kolkata but their operation was in vain, as Muktiranjan fled for Berhampur in the southern Odisha where his younger brother was staying.

Following a tip-off from the Odisha Police, a team of the Bengaluru (Karnataka) police on Wednesday reached at Bhuinpur village under the Dhusuri Police limit in Bhadrak district to nab the kingpin of the heart wrenching murder case, technically tracking his mobile phone. However, it was too late to apprehend the culprit, Muktiranjan Pratap Ray, who had killed his livein partner Mahalaxmi out of unboundable hatred & rage, cut her into small pieces and stuffed them in a refrigerator. It was because; he had already surrendered before the death hanging himself from a tree at the village graveyard ,of course out of remorse for his sin or to evade police action on him for good.

Later, the Karnataka police with the help of the the Dhusuri Police reached the graveyard and studied the crime spot in order to get significant leads regarding the fierce murdercase. Later, the sleuths were informed the prima facie of the suicide case by the local police. Meanwhile, a laptop which was seized from Muktiranjan’s scooter,parked a few meters  away from the graveyard where he was found hung, was cracked before the investigation teams of both the states in the presence of the Bhadrak SP, for getting some soft proofs regarding the duo’s antique love-story and it’s transitions that in turn ended with a barbarous murder and a tragic suicide. 

Similarly, a suicide note handwritten by Muktiranjan which was seized by the Dhusuri Police from his laptop bag, hung on the scooter parked at the graveyard, provided a sigh of respite to the Karnataka police, that had been chasing after Muktiranjan for weeks together. The suicidal note which was scribed before the Karnataka Police revealed that Muktiranjan was the killer of his love Mahalaxmi who had confessed to his crime on his dyeing declaration.

Though the police got no further clues from the device apart from a few snapshots, the sleuths got no substantial documents regarding the case.  However, the diary seized by the police, unveiled the whole episodes of Muktiranjan’s  sin and the horror he wreaked on the crime spot with wrapping off his well-hatched modus operandi. The diary had got his handwriting wherein he had reportedly mentioned, “ Eliminated her with no ways out, for her deliberate dhokha, extorting everything from me’’.

Muktiranjan’s mother and two younger brothers in their statements before the sleuths also corroborated the findings of the Odisha Police that the 31-year Odia guy was the man behind the scene who killed his fiancée out of anguish & rage strangulating her throat, cut the body parts into peices and then packed in the veggie box of a refrigerator.

Further investigation into the horrific murder case is underway. The Karnataka police are yet in search of the aide who was allegedly riding the scooter in the wee hours of the fateful night,  that caught sight of the street-mounted CCTVs.

To rule out the connivance of Muktikant’s yountest brother in the gruesome murder case, who was co-living with the accused, is reportedly under police custody for interrogation regarding his role in the horrific incident.
