Bhubaneswar: School for the Blind women’s cricket team of Balasore emerged champion by defeating Ranadevi Women’s College of Bhubaneswar team by six wickets in the three-day long 6th State Level Women’s Blind Cricket Tournament, which concluded at HiTec Medical Ground here on Wednesday.

In the B-1, B-2 and B-3 categories Jamuna Rani Tudu, Basanti Hansda and Phula Soren bagged the best player of the tournament respectively.

On the basis of the players performance in the tournament, the State team selection will be held for the National tournament, which will be held at Kerala 13 to 17 January 2025.     

Brief Score: Ramadevi Women’s Collage 69/10 in 10 overs (Phul Soren 27, Rachana Jena 23) lost to School for the Blind 70/4 in 8,5 overs (Itikrishna Bhanja 30) by 6 wickets.
