Bhubaneswar, March 19: The evaluation of Matric (Class 10) answer sheets began on Thursday across 51 centres in all 30 districts of Odisha, with authorities putting in place necessary arrangements for a smooth process.

District Education Officers have ensured required facilities at the evaluation centres, while the Board has deployed around 15,000 senior subject experts to assess answer scripts across various subjects.

The Matric examinations were conducted from February 19 to March 2 this year, with as many as 5,61,979 students appearing at 3,082 centres statewide. The Board has set a target to publish the results by the second week of May.

Officials said teachers facing serious health issues can seek exemption from evaluation duties by submitting valid medical certificates.

Meanwhile, the Board has warned of strict action against teachers who fail to join evaluation work despite receiving official communication. Teachers have been assigned duties at centres near their respective locations based on their subject expertise.

The Board has also instructed evaluators to ensure accuracy and fairness in the assessment process.
