Balangir, Aug 2: Around 70 students from a school in Tentulikhunti village, located in the Muribahal block of Balangir district, fell ill on Saturday after consuming midday meal that was later discovered to contain a lizard.
Reports indicate that shortly after eating the meal, many students began experiencing nausea and general discomfort. Initially, neither the students nor school staff suspected any contamination. It was only later found that a staff member spotted the lizard in the food.
Upon learning of the incident, school authorities quickly arranged for the affected students to be transported to the local hospital. Medical personnel have confirmed that all students are currently in stable condition and remain under observation as a precaution.
