Kendrapara, Feb 20: In a tragic incident on Thursday, two women were critically injured after a cooking gas cylinder exploded in the Mahipal area on the outskirts of Kendrapara town, Odisha. The women, identified as Jamala Firdos and Afsana Bibi, sustained severe injuries in the blast.

Reports suggest that while Sheikh Gafur's two daughters-in-law, Jamala and Afsana, were cooking, the gas cylinder suddenly exploded, causing a massive fire. The explosion also destroyed all the furniture in the house.

Both women were rushed to the district headquarters hospital for treatment, with Jamala’s condition reported to be critical, according to family members. Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion, and the affected family is receiving support from the local community.
