Goa, Dec 7: In a tragic incident as many as 23 people died in North Goa on Sunday at a night club after blast of gas cylinders.

The incident took place at a popular night club in the Arpora area of North Delhi, confirmed police.

According to reports, a massive fire broke out at the night club following a cylinder blast. As a result, 23 people, including hotel crew members and tourists were charred to death.

According to officials, most of the victims were the kitchen staff and the dead include three women. The police and the fire brigade immediately rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. The injured were then rushed to hospitals for resuscitation.

Police and district admin have initiated a probe into the matter whereas the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has expressed greif over the tragic incident.
