Bhubaneswar, March 1: The ruling BJP in Odisha asserted on Sunday that the understanding between the opposition BJD and Congress for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections would eventually work in its favour.

State BJP president Manmohan Samal, addressing reporters, pointed out that BJD and Congress had previously joined forces. "This alliance led to the BJD's defeat in the 2024 general elections. A combined effort from both parties will ultimately give an edge to the BJP."

He stated. However, Samal did not provide further details on how this collaboration would specifically benefit his party in the March 16 Rajya Sabha polls.
