Mumbai, Jan 22: The first-look photos for the highly anticipated second season of Beef starring Oscar Isaac have officially been released, offering fans a glimpse into the next chapter of this gripping anthology series. The new season is set to premiere on April 16, and it promises to bring even more drama, intrigue, and unexpected twists.

Beef, known for its complex portrayal of human emotions and relationships, returns with Oscar Isaac reprising his role alongside a talented new cast. Joining Isaac this season are Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny in lead roles. The newly released images showcase Melton lifting weights, Spaeny looking anxious in a hospital bed, and Isaac driving a golf cart. Carey Mulligan, who also stars in the series, is seen contemplating a facelift as she gazes into a mirror in another striking photo.

In a statement shared alongside the photos, Netflix teased, "Every relationship has its BEEF. Here's your first look at Season 2, premiering April 16."

Season 2 of Beef will also feature Oscar-winning actress Yuh-Jung Youn as Chairwoman Park, and Parasite star Song Kang-ho as Dr. Kim. According to Variety, the new season shifts focus to the elitist world of a country club, where power dynamics, favours, and coercion swirl around the Korean billionaire owner.

Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny play Austin and Ashley, a young couple who work at the country club. Their lives take a dramatic turn when they witness a heated confrontation between their boss and his wife, Josh and Lindsay (played by Isaac and Mulligan). The show's tense atmosphere is heightened by this alarming conflict.

The season will feature a strong supporting cast, including William Fichtner as Troy, Mikaela Hoover as Ava, and BM as Woosh. The series will consist of eight 30-minute episodes, with Lee Sung Jin returning as showrunner and executive producer.

Beef Season 2 marks the return of Emmy-winning creators Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, who were integral to the success of the first season. They will continue their roles as executive producers alongside Jake Schreier, Kitao Sakurai, Ethan Kuperberg, Anna Ouyang Moench, and the stars themselves, Mulligan, Isaac, Melton, and Spaeny.

It’s been more than three years since Beef Season 1 debuted, which captivated audiences with its story of two strangers whose lives collide after a road rage incident. The first season starred Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, who both received critical acclaim for their performances.
