Bhadrak, Nov 17: With the General Elections approaching fast, lobbying for BJD ticket among aspirants of the party has reached a feverish pitch in Bhadrak Assembly segment.
Five-time MLA from Bhadrak Jugal Kishore Patnaik's son Asit Patnaik, who hopes to inherit the political legacy of his father, is among the aspirants for BJD ticket from Bhadrak.
Asit has been looking after the party affairs in the area for years. He was the first runner for BJD ticket in 2019. However, the party fielded Sanjib Mallick.
Asit did not oppose the party's decision and has been working for the party organisation for over four years. This time he has come forward for BJD ticket by showing his strength last week.
Last week he was invited as a guest to web channel's programme. His supporters had arranged a massive rally to welcome him from his residence to event venue, Town Hall.
Besides, he is actively attending socio-cultural events in the constituency with massive support of youths and students.
