New Delhi, April 18: Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, unveiled India’s first fully designed AI server, named Adipoli, developed by VVDN Technologies.
It marks a major milestone in India’s journey toward self-reliance in advanced electronics and artificial intelligence.
Speaking at VVDN Technologies' Global Innovation Park in Manesar, where he also inaugurated a new Surface Mount Technology (SMT) line, the Minister emphasized the significance of this achievement under the government’s 'Make in India' initiative.
"Adipoli, equipped with eight GPUs, is a testament to India’s growing strength in electronics design and AI capabilities. It is entirely designed and developed in India, showcasing how far we've come in high-tech manufacturing," Vaishnaw said.
He lauded VVDN Technologies for their contribution, calling the launch a major leap forward in India’s efforts to become a global hub for cutting-edge electronics.

Highlighting the progress made under 'Make in India', the Minister noted, "Over time, India has developed strong capabilities in electronics design—ranging from automotive applications and power electronics to signaling and security systems. These complex products are increasingly being developed and manufactured within the country."
Vaishnaw also underlined India's growing credibility in global markets, pointing to the increasing reliability of Indian-made electronic products and the country’s emphasis on respecting intellectual property rights—factors that are helping attract global investors and encourage domestic innovation.
"We’re seeing large-scale design teams embedded within manufacturing firms. Here at this facility alone, there are about 5,000 engineers working on advanced, AI-integrated systems, far beyond traditional legacy technologies," he added.
The Minister also referenced the government’s recent electronic component scheme, stating that it will further deepen India’s development ecosystem and expand the scope for innovation.
