​​​​​​​Cuttack, Oct 27: The Orissa High Court on Monday disposed of a Public Interest Litigation(PIL) petition, filed regarding the Police SI scam.

Hearing the PIL wherein the petitioner had prayed for a CBI probe into the Police SI scam, a bench of the Orissa High Court disposed of the case, as the Odisha government already ordered the job scam to be probed by the Central Investigation Agency.

During the scheduled hearing, Odisha Advocate General Pitambar Acharya tabled the CMO’s order for the CBI probe along with the Home Department’s formal notification issued in this connection, before the bench.

Following this, the High Court Bench ordered disposal of the petition today, citing Odisha government’s on merit compliance over the public concern.
