Mumbai, Aug 27: Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle’s last recorded film song, “Ae Meri Zindagi, Tu Chupi Hai Kahan,” is set to be released on September 8, marking her birth anniversary.

The song features in the upcoming drama-comedy ‘Om Ka Hari’, directed by Harish Vyas and starring Anshuman Jha, Raghubir Yadav, Soni Razdan and Ayesha Kapur. The film explores the emotional relationship between a father and son, focusing on love, family and feelings that often remain unspoken.

According to the makers, Bhosle recorded the song in late 2023, when she was over 90. The track is being released as a tribute to her extraordinary contribution to Indian music and cinema.

Director Harish Vyas said releasing the song on Bhosle’s birthday is a celebration of her timeless voice and enduring legacy.

For Anshuman Jha, the song holds deep personal and emotional significance. He said Bhosle’s voice captures the central emotion of the film and recalled his experience of being in the studio with the legendary singer as a memorable moment in his artistic journey.

Produced by First Ray Films, Om Ka Hari revolves around the bond between a father and son and the importance of expressing love before it is too late.

Asha Bhosle, one of India’s most celebrated playback singers, passed away on April 12 at the age of 92 due to multiple organ failure. She was cremated with full state honours at Shivaji Park Crematorium in Mumbai. Several prominent personalities, including Vicky Kaushal and Aamir Khan, attended her funeral.
