Mumbai, April 10: With 26/11 co-conspirator Tahawwur Rana extradited to India, Eknath Omble, brother of Ashok Chakra awardee and martyr Tukaram Omble, has demanded Rana’s public execution to send a strong message to Pakistan.

Tukaram Omble, a Mumbai Police officer, sacrificed his life during the 2008 attacks while capturing terrorist Ajmal Kasab alive — a moment that exposed Pakistan’s hand in the assault.

Speaking on the day of Rana’s arrival, Eknath Omble said, “It is a great achievement that he’s finally been brought to India. Now, justice must be swift. Rana should be hanged publicly to honour the victims and expose Pakistan once again.”

Recalling the night of the attack, Omble shared how his brother took 22 bullets but ensured Kasab’s arrest, adding, “My brother’s bravery revealed the true face of Pakistan to the world.”

Rana, a Canadian-American of Pakistani origin, landed in Delhi after losing all legal battles in the U.S. The NIA and RAW are coordinating his case, with a court appearance expected soon.
