Mumbai, Ap 5: Actress Apoorva Arora, who is receiving a lot of positive responses for her recently released OTT show ‘Family Aaj Kal’, has shared that she tried her hands-on method acting for the first time in the show. Arora discussed her preparation for the role, highlighting director Parikshit Joshi's innovative techniques. Initially perplexing, Arora found that these methods yielded significant results over time.
Emphasizing her commitment to her craft, Arora stated, "Being a director's actor means I'm fully dedicated to realizing their vision. When we were preparing for 'Family Aaj Kal,' Parikshit introduced some unique methods that initially left me puzzled. However, I chose to trust him and embrace the process, even if it felt unconventional. Those workshops and rehearsals truly broadened my perspective on his approach." The show, which also features Sonali Sachdev, Aakarshan Singh, Prakhar Singh, Masood Akhtar, and the late actor Nitesh Pandey, explores various themes.
Reflecting on her introduction to method acting, Arora shared, "It was my inaugural foray into method acting, delving deep into my character's psyche. I had to sacrifice some of my favorite activities, like dancing to music - and believe me, anyone who knows me knows I can't resist moving to a good beat." "During filming, I had to feign deafness to the music, mirroring my character's struggles with depression for two years. I believe these immersive experiences are where the magic truly happens, shaping both the character and my acting prowess," she added.
