Bhubaneswar, March 8: On the occasion of International Women’s Day observed on Sunday, the fourth installment of the ‘Subhadra Yojana’ is going to be credited to the bank accounts of eligible women beneficiaries.

A special program is being held at Talabania ground in Puri today, where Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi accompanied by Dy. CM Pravati Parida will credit the amounts of assistance formally.

Today, women under the flagship program will credit ₹5,000 to their accounts as the fourth instalment.

According to Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, out of 1.25 crore applicants, around 1.02 crore beneficiaries will receive the fourth installment. Over ₹5,000 crore will be disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

At the event in Puri, 2.13 lakh new beneficiaries will receive funds, while 36,385 applicants listed on the grievance portal will also benefit. Individuals turning 21 by April 2026 are eligible to apply, and those who have already crossed 21 will receive the second instalment.

The Subhadra Yojana, launched in Odisha on September 17 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has already disbursed the first three instalments, totaling Rs 15,000 per beneficiary.
