Bhubaneswar, Mar 14: Abdul Samad Nijami, a visually challenged teacher of Kalarabank high school has garnered social media attention as another Salabega in the offing. Born as a Muslim, Nijami has been singing Odia devotional songs since his childhood. For the first time, he has lent his voice in an Odia Bhajan titled ‘He Natha’ on March 13. Abdul Samad Nijami, a native of Praharajpur village under Cuttack district has now turned talk of the town after the news surfaced on various social media platforms. His voice got recorded at Prativa Studio, Cuttack on Saturday, where he sang the bhajan ‘He Natha’ written by Sisir Bhattamishra and composed by Prem Anand. To note that Odia Film actress Barsha Priyadarshini had discovered the hidden talent of Nijami on February 15. In order to groom him as a professional singer, Barsha organised this recording for Nijami.
