Bhubaneswar, May 1: Another journalist in Odisha today succumbed to Covid-19. The journalist, Prtiman Mohapatra was working with Times of India, Bhubaneswar. Mohapatra was diagnosed with Covid-19 few days ago and was undergoing treatment at a Bhubaneswar based private hospital. Earlier on Friday, Debendra Samantray working with Odia daily Sambad as the Bureau Head of Sambalpur has also succumbed to the virus. More than 10 journalists of Odisha have died so far due to second Covid wave. Several journalist associations in Odisha have urged the State government to vaccinate journalists on priority basis. Several state governments including Uttarakhand have declared journalists as “frontline workers” and announced Covid-19 vaccination for them without any age restrictions.
