Bhubaneswar, December 16: In response to the alleged gang rape of a minor girl in Dhauli near Bhubaneswar, the Odisha government is considering setting up a Fast Track Women’s Court to expedite justice in cases of crimes against women.

Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan emphasized that the police are investigating the matter with urgency and reiterated the government’s commitment to tackling such crimes seriously.

He assured that, like in previous cases, the accused would be swiftly arrested and prosecution would begin promptly.

The incident has sparked concerns over women's safety, prompting the government to explore stronger legal measures for quicker justice.
