Big screen cricket action returns with affordable ticket pricing

Cricket enthusiasts can now swap their living room couches for recliner seats as the stadium atmosphere comes to the multiplex. In a major move to bring the sport closer to fans, PVR INOX has teamed up with JioStar to host the live ICC T20 World Cup screening across its cinema network in India and Sri Lanka.

This strategic partnership aims to transform the movie-going experience into a high-energy sports zone. Fans across the country can catch the action live, starting with select group-stage matches. The cinema chain has confirmed that every fixture featuring Team India will be broadcast. Beyond the group stages, the coverage extends to the Super 8 games, Playoffs, Semi-Finals, and the Grand Final, ensuring fans do not miss a single critical moment.

Pricing has been kept aggressive to attract a wide demographic. Tickets for these screenings start at a pocket-friendly Rs. 99. This pricing strategy allows students and families in tier-2 and tier-3 cities to experience the World Cup on the big screen without breaking the bank.

The highlight of this initiative is undoubtedly the high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan, scheduled for today, February 15, 2026. This specific match is being showcased on over 300 screens across more than 50 markets. PVR INOX anticipates a massive turnout and is prepared to increase screen counts based on real-time demand.

Aamer Bijli of PVR INOX Ltd. highlighted that cricket and cinema are the two beating hearts of Indian entertainment. He noted that previous live screenings received a robust response, proving that fans love the communal feeling of watching marquee matches together.

Viewers can expect premium projection, immersive sound, and the comfort of air-conditioned halls, paired with the usual cinema snacks. Screenings are slated for major hubs including Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata, with expected availability in other regions to ensure nationwide reach.
