Mumbai, July 12: Anant Ambani, the youngest son of businessman Mukesh Ambani and philanthropist Nita Ambani, is marrying Radhika Merchant, daughter of industrialists Viren Merchant and Shaila Merchant, today, July 12. The couple has already made headlines with their two pre-wedding celebrations and several pre-wedding rituals. A visual from one such ritual has gone viral, capturing an emotional moment between the bride and her father during the Grah Shanti Puja.
Radhika Merchant, the younger daughter of Viren and Shaila Merchant, founders and owners of Encore Healthcare, is seen in the video performing the puja and placing a garland around her soon-to-be husband. An emotional scene follows as her father tears up while hugging her, with her mother also visibly moved.
For the ceremony, Radhika chose a traditional saree complemented by subtle makeup and a bindi, while Anant wore a red kurta and a Nehru jacket adorned with intricate golden work featuring a cow motif.
The couple, who had their roka in 2022 and a formal ceremony in 2023, recently held two lavish pre-wedding celebrations. The first event in Jamnagar, Gujarat, was attended by global dignitaries, including Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, and featured performances by renowned artists like Rihanna.
For the second pre-wedding event, the Ambanis hosted a grand cruise across Europe for their 1,200 guests, including events like a toga party and a masquerade ball, with performances from Katy Perry, the Backstreet Boys, and Pitbull.
Their pre-wedding rituals began with the mameru ceremony and included a sangeet ceremony where Justin Bieber performed for the couple and their guests.
