Bhubaneswar, Dec 24: In a major development in the ASO examination irregularities case, the High Court has ordered the blacklisting of Silicon Tech Lab Private Limited for a period of five years. The decision follows the establishment of evidence pointing to irregularities in the conduct of the ASO examination.

As per an agreement signed in May 2025, Silicon Tech Lab Private Limited had been authorised to manage the examination process. The main written examination for the ASO posts was conducted by the agency in July this year. However, serious allegations of breach of confidentiality were later raised against the institution.

After the charges were proven, the High Court issued directions to blacklist the agency for five years, citing violations of examination norms and compromise of confidentiality.

Earlier, on November 12, the Orissa High Court had set aside the main written examination conducted by the company on July 13, citing serious concerns over the fairness and integrity of the examination process.

Meanwhile, the company’s owner, Suresh Nayak, was arrested by the State Crime Branch on November 3 in connection with the SI recruitment scam.
