Bhubaneswar, December 1: Just two days after three Block Chairpersons from Bhadrak District resigned from their positions, BJD President Naveen Patnaik has appointed senior party leader Prafulla Samala as the new President of the Bhadrak District unit.
Prafulla Samala met with BJD President Naveen Patnaik this evening at Naveen Niwas, where the appointment was confirmed.
Urmila Nayak, Chairperson of Bhadrak Block; Sumati Sethi, Chairperson of Bhandari Pokhari Block; and Manoranjan Ghadai, Chairperson of Bonth Block has resigned from their post on November 29. All three leaders stepped down from their posts and also relinquished their primary membership in the party, citing personal reasons for their decision.
