While the Maharaja Talkies officials report selling of 2972 of the total 2898 tickets for 4 shows on Day 1 (Dec 5), the ticket booking has been brisk at other 2D cinemas in the Capital City. Reports suggest the following.

- PVR Utkal Galleria holds 4 shows. The prime category tickets have been a complete sell out within hours.
- Veena Theatre in Jatni is holding 7 shows, within hours of booking, the tickets for 3 shows were a complete sellout.
- In Cuttack, Pushpa 2 The Rule will be releasing in 2 cinemas – INOX and Sangam.
- In INOX, the tickets almost sold out for 3 shows, whereas the booking is reported to be brisk in Sangam Cinema.
- The advance booking scenario has wildfire response in silk city Berhampur, where the Hindi cersion is showing in 2 cinemas (Gautam and Payal).
- The ticket booking in Gautam Cinema has been very brisk. Within 3hrs, the occupancy has been full on Day 1.
