Akshaye Khanna’s first look as Shukracharya in Mahakali unveiled

Mumbai, Sep 30: Akshaye Khanna has stunned audiences with his transformative first look as Shukracharya in Mahakali, the upcoming mythological epic from the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU).

Released during the festive occasion of Durga Puja, the poster reveals Khanna in a powerful and enigmatic avatar — with long silver hair, a flowing beard, and an intense gaze. One of his eyes appears glowing, hinting at mystical powers, while the setting evokes ancient temples and cosmic unrest.

Khanna portrays Shukracharya, the revered guru of the Asuras and guardian of ancient wisdom. His character holds immense significance in mythology as the keeper of the Mrita-Sanjivani mantra, a power to restore life. Mahakali marks Akshaye Khanna’s debut in Telugu cinema, and his inclusion adds a new layer of gravitas to the PVCU, which began with the superhero film HanuMan.

Directed by Puja Aparna Kolluru and written by Prasanth Varma, the film promises to merge myth, mysticism, and cinematic spectacle. Produced by RKD Studios and presented by RK Duggal, Mahakali will be released in multiple languages and formats, including IMAX 3D.
