Bhubaneswar, Dec 11: The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET), conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, will be held across the state on 17th December. A total of 1,60,379 candidates, including both in-service and aspiring teachers, are expected to appear for the examination.

All exam centers have been equipped with CCTV surveillance, and the Board will monitor the proceedings from its command control room. Question papers and OMR sheets will be dispatched to digital lockers starting 14th December. For the 30 districts, the materials will be transported along 39 secure routes with armed police escort.

Board Chairman SrikantTarai has shared this information, assuring strict security and smooth conduct of the examination.

“It is for the information of all concerned that applications are invited from eligible candidates (fresh/ in-service) for appearing in Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test 2025,” the notification issued in this regard by the BSE mentioned.

OTET (Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test) is a mandatory qualification for candidates seeking teaching positions in State Government, aided, and private elementary schools across Odisha. Candidates must carefully review the official notification for detailed eligibility criteria and guidelines before applying.

Revised OTET Guidelines

• Applications must be submitted online only through the official website: www.bseodisha.ac.in
• The online application link will remain active 24×7 from 12.11.2025 to midnight of 25.11.2025.
• Fee payment and final submission of the application form must be completed online by 11:45 PM on 26.11.2025.

The OTET Examination is scheduled for 17.12.2025, with the following timings:

• Paper I: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
• Paper II: 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM
• Admit cards will be available for download starting 10.12.2025.
• The last date for submission of application forms will not be extended under any circumstances.
• If any information provided by a candidate is found to be false or fabricated, their candidature/result will be cancelled, and they may face legal action as per rules.
• Once submitted, personal details, address, caste, subject choices, and other registration-related information cannot be modified at any later stage.
