​​​​​​​Angul, Oct 14: A Junior Clerk of the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) office, Angul was suspended on Tuesday for gross financial irregularities.

He was also booked following the report of the Accountant General.

The accused official has been identified as Subrat Behera.

The Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO),Angul Dr Madan Mohan Pradhan has also lodged a complaint with police in this connection.

According to the reports, Subrat who was working in the capacity of accountant in DHH Angul has allegedly siphoned off government funds worth a few crores.

Further investigation into the financial misconduct is currently underway while the internal audit teams and teams from the AG, are verifying the DHH accounts and that of the accused.
