Bhubaneswar, November 19: Cops in Odisha’s Central Range continue with crack down on criminals & antisocial elements under the umbrella of ‘Operation Thunder’.

Cops round the clock remain vigilant with blocking & checkings across districts to hunt hardened criminals, seizing drugs, busting illegal arms syndicates, cracking down on illicit cattle transport and randomized MV inspections.

According to DIG Central Range, Dr. Satyajit Naik, heightened Naka checks are on in Cuttack, Kendrapara, Puri, Nayagarh, Khordha and Jajpur & Jagatsinghpur to keep track of the illegal activities in the areas.

During the naka checkings on Monday across the Central Range, a hefty fine amounting to Rs 4,66,500 was imposed on vehicle owners for flouting traffic & road safety rules, said the DIG.

Operation Thunder yet continues across the Central Range, in a bid to serve people with adequate policing to enforce laws, prevent and investigate crime, and maintain public order and safety, added Dr. Naik.
