Cuttack, Nov 25: A fatal road accident near Rajakana Chhak under Tangi Police Station in Cuttack district late Monday night claimed three lives and left two others critically injured. The mishap occurred when a Bolero vehicle traveling from Jajpur towards Bhubaneswar lost control and rammed into a road divider before crashing into an oncoming tanker.

According to sources, five people were onboard the Bolero at the time of the accident. The impact was so severe that three passengers died on the spot. Local authorities and passersby immediately rescued the two injured individuals and rushed them to a nearby medical facility for preliminary treatment.

Given their critical condition, both survivors were later shifted to Cuttack SCB Medical College and Hospital for advanced care. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
