After Bhubaneswar, Dengue scare in Odisha's Cuttack

Cuttack, Aug 11: After the capital city Bhubaneswar, dengue has spread its tentacles in Cuttack. The vector-borne disease has started spreading in CDA-10 and CDA-11 here.

As many as 23 persons have tested positive for dengue recently. 

Sources said CDA-10 and CDA-11 areas have been witnessing a sharp rise in vector-borne disease as five cases were reported from CDA sector 10, and six were reported from sector 11. The patients are undergoing treatment at different private hospitals in the city.

A master plan has been prepared by the CMC to manage dengue in hotspots. Meanwhile, the CMC health officer said that several measures are being taken to curb the dengue cases. People are being sensitized towards the disease. Besides, samples are also being collected for testing. ASHA workers are campaigning door to door to educate people, the CMC health officer said.
