The silver city has turned into a hub of adulterated food manufacturing. Earlier in July, commissionerate police had busted an adulterated spice manufacturing unit and arrested the owner of the factory. Police also seized a huge quantity of adulterated spice bags and raw materials from his possession.
The accused was involved in manufacturing different spices by mixing and grinding small quantities of substandard ingredients with rotten rice, spurious colours and chemicals at his manufacturing unit. He used to sell the spices from his wholesale shop at cheap prices.
